When is a Drain Excavation Required

When is a Drain Excavation Required?

We will only recommend an excavation when other repairs are not sufficient to fix the problem. The most common repair technique we use is drain relining, as this strengthens the structural integrity of the pipe to stop it from collapsing, but if the pipe has already collapsed or is showing signs of extensive damage, then this solution simply won’t be possible.

An excavation is required when we can see that a pipe has fully collapsed, when there is severe root intrusion, or when we see structural issues throughout the system.

We also don’t just do excavations to repair issues. Our service can also be used to install new connections or to alter the existing system if relocation is required.

Before carrying out any repairs or new installations, we will conduct a survey to ensure no time is wasted on digging. This will help us identify the exact location where the excavation is needed so we can carry out the work as quickly as possible to minimise disruption.
