Sewer Repairs in Wirral & LiverpoolImage of sewage pipe that would typically require sewer repairs

RPD offers sewer repair services utilising state-of-the-art sewer ‘relining’ and ‘patching’ techniques.

Our engineers are capable of carrying out a total sewer replacement using sewer ‘excavation’ methods.

Excavation is employed where the sewer pipe’s structural integrity is beyond a state of repair.

Problems like this can have serious effects on your drainage system so identifying and repairing your sewer pipes is incredibly important to mitigate any risks of them collapsing.

Collapsing sewer pipes can have a devastating effect on your drainage system and can take a lot of time to repair.

The structure of the sewer pipes can be weakened by surface works, root ingress and ground movements. If you experience any of this then it is important that you have your pipes checked as soon as possible.

Our team carries out sewer repairs or replacements according to relevant legislation and health and safety requirements.

How to tell if your sewer pipes are damaged?

Apart from understanding certain scenarios that can cause damage to a sewage system, there are also other signs you can look out for when assessing whether your sewer pipe is damaged.

The most common problems you will experience with a damaged sewer pipe include:

  • Sewer Backups, Simple or complex Blockages
  • Mold Growth
  • Slow Drain
  • Cracks in building foundations
  • Insect or rat Infestation
  • Smell of sewer gas

These are just some of the most common problems that most people experience when dealing with sewer damage.

Most of the symptoms are usually easy to spot, if you aren't experiencing any of the above but still believe that your sewers may need repairing then it's still important to have an inspection for peace of mind.

The potential of your sewers collapsing is something that should be seriously considered if you are unsure about seeking the help of a professional.

Costs associated with repairing collapsed drains can be very expensive, this is also excluding the time it takes to carry out this type of task.

If you are experiencing any of the above then it's important that you get in touch with local sewer repair specialists such as RPD to inspect your pipes and identify the source of the problem.

We have provided sewer repairs in Wirral and Liverpool for over 15 years, it's this level of experience which has made us one of the first choices in the local area for this type of service.

How we carry out sewer repairs

Following a 360 degree CCTV survey of your sewer, if our engineer is satisfied that the sewer will not need to be totally replaced then sewer ‘relining’ or ‘patching’ can take place.

Sewer relining means a felt liner is shot down the entire distance of the sewer and a resin type substance is injected using high-pressure air until the sewer is totally relined.

Sewer patching is similar to relining but during patching, only a sub-section of the sewer is relined. Both techniques allow our engineer to carry out sewer repairs in a cheap and quick fashion with minimal disruption to life above the sewer!

Once the job of relining or patching up the sewer has concluded, a further CCTV inspection of the sewer’s inners is carried out. This ensures relining was executed correctly.
